Pteropine orthoreoviruses (PRV) are emerging bat-borne viruses with proven zoonotic transmission. We recently demonstrated human exposure to PRV in Singapore. which together with previous reports from Malaysia and Vietnam suggest that human infection of PRV may occur periodically in the region.
