An endochitinase gene (chit33-cDNA) from the biocontrol fungus Trichoderma atroviride was overexpressed under the CaMV35S constitutive promoter in canola (R line Hyola 308). Transformation of cotyledonary petioles was achieved via Agrobacterium tumefaciens.
